Springtime in Japan
when the cherry blossoms fall –
leaving you behind

*In Japanese, “lightly falling snow” (細雪, Sasameyuki) is an image from the literature of the Heian Period in Japan, the falling cherry blossoms of Spring signifying the transience and impermanence of being.
